Maggie is an early childhood educator who received her undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University in Dance Studies, with a minor in teacher education. She is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Birth-Kindergarten Education from Appalachian. With over ten years of experience teaching young children, Maggie brings a unique perspective education, as both a dance teacher and early childhood educator. She is passionate about immersing children in nature and the outdoors at a very young age and believes strongly in the impact this can make on them in all areas of their development. Maggie focuses on creating a nurturing and intentionally curated environment for children to learn and grow through research based practices.

Maggie lives on site in a tiny house with her husband, two boys (ages three and one), two cats, and their chickens.

She believes all children have the right to high quality, engaging education and is excited to be a part of bringing that to the families in our community.
